Join the Portsmouth Black Heritage Trail and learn about Portsmouth, New Hampshire's trans-Atlantic slavetraders, slaveholders and the captured Africans and Black abolitionists. The gentle walking tour leaves at 1pm from Discover Portsmouth, 10 Middle Street, downtown Portsmouth, and ends with a visit to Portsmouth's old Negro Burying Ground, now a new memorial park created to mark the site, a place for the visitor to pause and to contemplate this unfinished American story.
