Description

The Seasmoke Trio is a jazz, blues and swing trio based in Kittery, Maine. Performing often unexpected arrangements of original and familiar music, the trio plays an eclectic mix of jazz, blues, swing and traditional American songbook tunes. Dave Graf, whose mastery of finger-style electric guitar playing makes him a compelling musician to watch as well as to hear, coaxes darkness, delicacy, and desire from his electric and acoustic guitars. He’s joined by Doug Green on the electric bass, whose funk­ inflected rhythms play well against Graf’s lyricism. Drummer Peter Braddock brings groove, punch, and light to the trio’s dynamic repertoire, which includes original tunes as well as music by Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, Louis Jordan, Duke Ellington, Ray Charles, Nat Cole, Hank Williams, T-Bone Walker, and others.
