Temple Israel in Portsmouth presents an opportunity for the public to learn about the Jewish holiday of Sukkot and to celebrate with an afternoon of song, crafts and refreshments on Thursday October 20th from 1 to 3 pm at Strawbery Banke Museum. The “Fun in the Sukkah” festival is free and open to the public and takes place on the lawn at the Shapiro House, one of the homes in the Strawbery Banke Puddle Dock neighborhood, interpreted as a Jewish Ukrainian household in 1919. The “Fun in the Sukkah” event is sponsored by the National Jewish Outreach Program as part of their Sukkot Across America Celebration, and Temple Israel, Portsmouth, NH.
