The Desperate Hour, is a new comedy about an old drama:  a play within a play.  It is opening night of ?The Desperate Hour? and tensions and egos are high as the cast gathers backstage before their opening night.  Much rides on the success of this new work both personally and professionally. For some this could be the first in a long-awaited comeback, for others just a stepping-stone into a new and bright career and still for others it is their last attempt to regain the spotlight that has been long absent in their career. For the theater owner and playwright everything rides on the success of the play as the theater is scheduled to be demolished at the end of the week.

George Hosker-Bouley has been presenting sold-out original shows for more than 25 years. The winner of 17 Spotlight on the Arts Awards and former Executive/Artistic Director of the Prescott Park Arts Festival, George also teaches improv to actors in three different states and is owner of The Portsmouth Underbelly Tour. Previous shows include The Windsor Pearls, Where There is a Will,  The Gloucester House Boys, A Civil Tongue,  A Dickens of a Christmas,  Parlor Games and Prenuptual Disagreements.

The Desperate Hour stars Richard DiMario,  George Hosker-Bouley, Wendy Lannon Meg Oolders, Norm Smith, Ken Stiles,  Erika Wilson. The set is by renowned designer Michael Hosker-Bouley.
