Seu Jorge first achieved professional achievement as a musician in 1998 and has since released multiple solo and collaborative albums. Known to many as the musician covering David Bowie in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, he has since been featured in films around the world. Seu Jorge has played alongside many artists including Beck, The Black Eyed Peas, and Foo Fighters on tv as well as various festivals.
In Brazil, he is famous for reviving pop samba and has won several awards and accolades for his albums. Although he enjoys many musical genres, his foundation is samba—the music of his country.
