    Description

Join us as Portsmouth Pro Musica concludes its 37th season with a concert focused on the theme of water and the sea. The signature piece will be The Wound in the Water by Kim André Arnesen. PPM will be accompanied by a ten-piece string orchestra and Sam Partyka on piano. Brigette Dumont will be the featured soprano soloist. This is only the second performance of The Wound in the Water in the state of New Hampshire. In addition to the main work, the concert will include “Let the River Run”, composed by Carly Simon and arranged by Craig Hella Johnson, a collection of sea shanties featuring the PPM men, and “I’se the By”, a Newfoundland folk song, performed by the PPM women. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.ppmnh.org. Advance: $13; students/ seniors $11. At the door: $16; students/seniors $13. All tickets are general admission. Masks are required for both concerts and vaccinations are strongly encouraged.
