Join Port City Makerspace's moderated panel of four women in the trades industry as they share their backgrounds and answer questions about their careers.
Panelists will discuss their jobs in the skilled trades, focusing on their training and education, the specialized skills they acquired, and the abilities and knowledge required for success. They will discuss the research, practical support, and support and advocacy for tradeswomen that are vital to meeting that demand. This panel presentation will be immediately followed by a tour of the Port City Makerspace facility!
About Port City Makerspace Port City Makerspace is a welcoming and inclusive community workshop that provides tools, knowledge, and a collaborative culture to encourage the artist and maker in everyone.
We have shop spaces dedicated to pottery, wood-working, metal-working, automotive and bicycles, textiles, CNC routers, electronics and 3D printing, and a classroom space which can be used for many more types of projects. Anyone can become a member regardless of experience!
