Karen is dedicated to the Arts and the Portsmouth community. After spending over 30 years in healthcare, she is now fulfilling her lifelong dream of running her own art studio, Oliveteal Arts. In addition to creating custom art, she teaches various mediums, including stained-glass, mosaics and fibers to individuals ranging from children to seniors. Karen and her family relocated to Portsmouth largely due to the vibrant arts scene, and she remains steadfastly committed to advancing the city’s arts and cultural landscape. In 2023, she served as Co-Chair of the Portsmouth Cultural Plan Subcommittee and is currently serving as a member of the Arts and Cultural Commission.
