  • Mainspring: The Seacoast Social Services Collective Seeks Community Volunteers for the 19th Annual Seacoast Half Marathon!

    KITTERY, MAINE – Mainspring: The Seacoast Social Services Collective, is seeking volunteers to help with the 19th Annual Seacoast Half Marathon benefitting Mainspring, a transformative model of care. The event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, beginning and ending at Portsmouth High School.

    This beloved event brings hundreds of runners together to celebrate their dedication and showcase the beauty of the New Hampshire Seacoast. Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and successful race day experience for participants and spectators alike.

    Volunteer shifts are available from 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 27. As a thank you for their time and dedication, volunteers will receive their own Seacoast Half Marathon t-shirt, warm coffee, and snacks to fuel their morning!

    We are looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks, including:

    • Course support - Portsmouth, Rye, & New Castle (7:30 a.m. - the last runner goes past)

    • General clean-up (11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)

    • Foodservice and clean-up (10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. with some flexibility)

    • Parking lot volunteers (9:30-11:30 a.m.)

    All volunteers are welcome! Whether you're a seasoned runner or simply enjoy giving back to your community, this is a fantastic opportunity to participate in the excitement and energy of the Seacoast Half Marathon.
