"This is a great moment for champions of women," says Kaplan.

Investing in development opportunities for the women on your team pays enormous dividends. Studies show that companies with women in leadership positions demonstrate better returns, increased innovation, and higher resilience than companies without (HBR).

Kaplan's 40 years in the field has seen that even if women do not aspire to organizational leadership roles, this type of development elevates their capability to lead from where they stand, resulting in contributing greater value to the organization. Additionally, when women demonstrate their leadership capabilities without the title, others are watching them, and they are more likely to receive high-visibility project assignments, promotions, and overall more favorable attention.
