PORTSMOUTH—Pro Portsmouth has unveiled a new First Night Logo for this year that incorporates many of the images associated with the waterfront community: tug boats, bridges and a lighthouse.

The artwork chosen for First Night 2025 was created by Joe Stanieich-Burke. Joe serves as the marketing director at Tupelo Music Hall, where he blends creativity and strategy to promote live music in New Hampshire. Alongside his full-time role, Joe freelances as a graphic artist, specializing in logo design and branding for small businesses.

In partnership with Blue Dolphin Screenprint & Embroidery, Pro Portsmouth will feature an online, on-demand First Night shop. Merchandise, including long sleeve tees and sweatshirts, will be available for pre-order, and ready for pickup or mailing in late December.

Sponsors, Donors, and Underwriters are also being sought to support the event as well as the annual program of events. The organization needs to raise $15.0K (As of 11/21, $5,500.00 has been received) in order to fund the fireworks, and police/safety detail. “Over the years, First Night Portsmouth has become another destination event on the Seacoast,” says Executive Director, Barbara Massar. “We are able to attract and entertain not only our friends and neighbors, but people who travel from all over the country to spend the holidays with us, enjoy the city. But in order to keep the event on the calendar, we need everyone’s support.”

Pro Portsmouth believes that celebrating First Night is vital to the continued success enjoyed by Portsmouth as a destination for family, friends and neighbors from down the street and around the world.
