PORTSMOUTH— The One Hundred Club celebrated another extraordinary day on the greens with its annual Golf Tournament, held at the Wentworth by the Sea Country Club in Rye. The event brought together members, guests, business leaders, and notable personalities for an unforgettable day of competition and camaraderie.
This year’s tournament featured record participation, reflecting the strength of the Club’s community and the relationships that make it unique. In partnership with The Scars Foundation, founded by Godsmack front man Sully Erna, the event underscored a shared commitment to mental health awareness and support for those in the hospitality industry. Teams were comprised of One Hundred Club members and their guests, with several distinguished attendees adding to the excitement of the day.
The day’s festivities began on a patriotic note, as Sully Erna delivered a powerful rendition of the National Anthem. Following this moving moment, One Hundred Club proprietor Neil Gibb signaled the “real” shotgun start, officially launching the tournament in spirited fashion.
Leadership from the Mohegan Tribe joined the field, alongside Food Network three-time Champion Chef Bobby Marcotte of the award-winning Tuckaway Tavern and Fred Schaake, general manager of the iconic Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, and leadership from notable Seacoast restaurant groups.
The tournament was not only a celebration of golf but also of purpose. Funds raised directly supported the One Hundred Club’s hospitality initiatives, including education and mental health programs. Together with The Scars Foundation, these initiatives highlight the Club’s commitment to strengthening the lives of those who serve and enrich our communities through their profession.
Highlights of the day included a Maserati Hole-in-One Challenge, a live art installation by local artist Carson Jackson that was later auctioned for charity, and the always-popular “Heckle Hole” fundraiser, which kept golfers on their toes with comic commentary — all adding fun, energy, and additional support for the cause.
“The turnout, the caliber of participants, and the positive energy made this year’s tournament one of our most successful to date,” said Rebecca Sacchetti, director of sales & marketing for The One Hundred Club. “We are proud to host an event that brings together such an incredible cross-section of leaders, innovators, and community supporters, while making a meaningful impact through our hospitality initiatives and our partnership with The Scars Foundation. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous supporters: Tour and The Puddle Dock restaurants, Seaport Fish, Chef Mark Segal, Artisan Grounds Landscaping, Promocentric, Molon Labe Cigars, Wiggly Bridge Distillery, Mike’d Up Comedy, High Street Insurance Partners, Mohegan Sun Golf Club, Signs East, CJ Physical Therapy, Carson Jackson, York Harbor Inn, The DRIPBaR, Senator Barry Finegold, and of course, Sully Erna of Godsmack.”
With this year’s success, the One Hundred Club looks forward to continuing the tradition of excellence and camaraderie for future tournaments, showcasing what makes the Club an unparalleled destination for its members and partners.
