Seacoast Mental Health Center (SMHC) is a nonprofit, community mental health center. SMHC delivered a wide range of behavioral health and community support services to approximately 6,000 children, adolescents, adults and families in FY20, regardless of their ability to pay. Depending on the clinical diagnosis, severity of symptoms and age of the client, the accessible services may range from 24-hour emergency care (24/7/365) to individual/group therapy, substance use disorder treatment for adults, psychiatric services, neurological testing, residential and housing care, targeted case management, physical health guidance, and employment support. SMHC staff are also in the Emergency Department at Exeter Hospital, some local primary care offices, as well as schools throughout the catchment region.
The mission of SMHC is to provide a broad, comprehensive array of high quality, effective and accessible mental health services to residents of the eastern half of Rockingham County in NH.
